May updates from Dawlish Swimming Club

A few updates from the club:

  1. The new British Swimming Competition structure document has been uploaded to the site. This document explains all the changes that occurred this year.

  2. Long Term Athlete Development. This is something we used to have on the noticeboard. It is key information for parents about a child progression through swimming and what they should be aiming for. This is what the club strive to follow. Hence the new squads: Learn to Swim, Learn To Train, then A and B squads are train to train and train to race.

  3. Club Championship details. You will have received an email but for reference the information can also be found here

  4. This years summer shutdown will be August 3rd-16th.The last session will therefore be Sunday August 2nd, and the first will be Monday August 17th.

  5. We will once again be hosting Coventry Swimming club on Wednesday July 29th, swimmers will be invited to take part.

  6. Finally can you please check that you are paying the correct amount per month for the squad that your child swims in. We are still finding that a lot of parents are underpaying each month.
